'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first important achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead
