Former world champion Parker tested positive as part of a drugs test administered the very day he faced 11th-round defeat against UK boxer Fabio Wardley.

Wardley along with Joseph Parker engaged in an intense contest in London in late October to decide the identity of the next in line for the WBO against reigning heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk.

A routine test given to the boxer by the anti-doping organization the day of the match returned positive which leaves the 36-year-old in a difficult position to demonstrate his cleanliness.
